Just four more days… Getting anxious to get on the road. What will I forget to bring? Will I forget to turn the gas off on the stove? Will the cat be OK by herself? (OK, we have someone coming in to look after her!)

The plane! The Plane!

Moma don't allow no banjo playin' around here!

Here is a picture of me playing the banjo. It's not a question of when this picture was taken, but where.
The coordinates are Longitude 51° 33' 55" N Latitude 04° 19' 58" W. If you go to Google Maps and search for "51 33 55 N 04 19 58 W" you will see where I was. Use the satellite view to see the terrain.

This may mean nothing, but first I find a glove on Friday, and now this…

Hole
'Tudes:
Longitude 88° 00' 13" W
Latitude 42° 04' 56" N
Altitude 672 ft.

It's just not safe in the world. I found this hole that was not there two days ago. How did this happen? The yellow arrow points to a possible clue. It's a work glove. Work of the devil? I believe so. Check this link to possible suspects.

remote test
I found a small cafe to hook up. I wanted to load in some pictures, but I forgot to bring the USB loader! A bummer, but that's how I learn!
So anyway, I'm now editing this post on the 16th of February, and I have downloaded the following picture that I took on the roadside.

I was driving along the road, and there it was!

A Mini trip!
Today we are taking a short trip just to test some things out. I purchased a Navigon 2100 GPS and have been using it to find my way in strange towns.
I should be posting remotely tomorrow if things go well.

What is this?
What's this blog about?
OK, here's the situation. I'm going on a little road trip, and I want to document the trip. I have never started a blog, so I thought that this would be a good way to see how "easy" it would be to update stuff while I am away from my desktop computer.
Since this blog is called "Roadside Mysteries", it means that I am going to update the pages but purposely leave out key information! Ha, that's the mystery. Get it?
Anyhow, the road trip officially starts on March 3rd, but I need to practice updating the blog, so this is what I have for today.
I purchased the following for the car:

It's kind of a cable tire chain. I put a pair of these on my car's tires in a snowstorm the other day. It took me about 10 minutes to complete the job.
